A Little Something for Uncle Nick

We are so excited to see Uncle Nick in a couple of weeks. Since we've been thinking about him, here's a little something for him!

October!!

October has been full of so much fun for us! We have gone to the zoo a LOT and we went pumpkin picking too! We are carving our pumpkins in a few days so we'll post pictures of that soon too. Here are a few pictures to tide you over :)

PS: The little girl in the picture is Cali, Bubba's "girlfriend." He is in LOVE with her! Her parents are the youth pastor at our church and his wife. She is such a sweet little girl and Bubba follows her around like a puppy!

Bears Family Night

We took Bubba to his first Bears Family Night at Soldier Field. We had a blast! It was fun to watch the team practice and see our favorite players (Earl Bennett for me and Johnny Knox/Greg Olsen for The Husband). Bubba had a great time too. He played and talked to the people around us the whole time.

6 Month Pictures

We cannot BELIEVE that Bubba is 6 months old already! The time flies by so quickly. Each new development is such an excitement but I wish I could freeze time at each new stage, too. He is getting too big too fast! Here are a few of the pictures.

Riverwalk

The Husband and I took Bubba to the Riverwalk today, July 16th. It was a blast. We walked and had lunch then spent some time reading in Barnes and Noble. A nice day!

Zoo Fun!

We took Bubba to the zoo for the first time with Grandma, Grandpa, and Uncle Lon over 4th of July Weekend. We had a blast and Bubba loved looking at the animals but was pretty pooped when the day was over!

Bennett's Dedication

We had Bubba dedicated at church on father's day. We started going to our church right after Bubba was born and it was such a blessing for us that we were able to dedicate our son into a church we truly love and feel comfortable in. During the dedication, we made a few "vows": to pray for our child daily, to lead him spiritually, and to seek help when we do not know the answer. We pray that we can keep our promises and raise Bubba to love the Lord!

Happy Graduation, Daddy!

The Husband graduated from DePaul University's Master's program (Writing, Rhetoric, and Discourse) at the beginning of June. It was such a sigh of relief when he walked across that stage! The past two years have been so hard with him going to school full time WHILE working full time. Especially since Bubba came, we've been counting down the days until he just gets to work and come home and hang with his fam!

The graduation was at Allstate Arena and we went to Ram afterward for dinner. Here are some pictures. Congratulations, Daddy!

You want me to eat WHAT?!

We gave Bubba some rice cereal for the first time on June 10th. He HATED it!! He kept making scrunched-up faces of dislike and coughing. It was adorable. We tried it again a couple of days later and he still hated it. We'll try a few more times and then move on to something else if he still hates it!
